Midthunder comes from the Fort Peck Tribe of Assiniboine. Her entire growing up within Santa Fe where her mother was employed at a casting firm and she attended the Academy for Technology and the Classics. Amber's father is Native American, and they are both enrolled in the Fort Peck Sioux Tribe. Amber is of mixed heritage because her mother is adopted. Prey has a lot of Native American actors, such as Dakota Beavers (who is Blackfeet as well as Comanche) as well as Jhane Meiers, who has been advising Prey for a number of years. Coco, the adorable actor playing Sarii, was chosen for her unique breed of dog that is known as the American Dingo. Carolina Dogs are one of oldest breeds.
There is another message in all this; throughout the film TJ recounts his love for Amanda and how she is his everything (although some of the narration could be actually about the daughter, if we look at it further). The actor confessed to Amanda his feelings, but Amanda refused because she was already with Daniel. In the wake of Amanda's passing, Emily revealed that she was Emily. The two have been close for years. In the finale the couple are getting married. Amanda only kisses Wilf just before midnight. The prize pot is won by herself
